Notes from a quiet afternoon
What a week of ordinary appointments says about how we treat our bodies.
Most people arrive with the same three places: neck, lower back, and the shoulder they carry their bag on. Very few arrive because something happened. Almost all arrive because nothing did, for a long time.
The common thread is not injury but stillness — long hours in one shape, repeated daily. The body adapts to what it does most, and then asks for help when that shape stops being comfortable.
The most useful thing we say all week is also the simplest: move a little, often, and come back before it hurts rather than after.
