Three points worth knowing on a tired day
Hands, shoulders, feet — simple places to press when you have five minutes and no appointment.
The fleshy web between thumb and forefinger, the top of the shoulder halfway between neck and joint, and the hollow just behind the ball of the foot. None of them are secret and none of them are magic.
Press slowly until you feel a dull, spreading ache rather than a sharp one, hold for several breaths, and let go gradually. Pressure that makes you hold your breath is too much.
People expect a jolt. What usually happens is quieter: the breath drops lower, the jaw unclenches, and the next hour goes a little easier.
